Charles Degeyter en Sybren Vanoverberghe
Over de tentoonstelling (NL)
Voor de nieuwe tentoonstelling bij PAND 00x nodigen we de Belgische kunstenaars Charles Degeyter (BE, 1994) en Sybren Vanoverberghe (BE, 1996) uit. Het is de eerste keer dat hun werk samen in België wordt getoond.
Beide kunstenaars benaderen thema’s als archeologie, geschiedenis en antropologie op een intuïtieve en ervaringsgerichte manier. Hun werk roept vragen op over authenticiteit en de oorsprong van referenties zoals petrogliefen en artefacten. In hun onderzoek naar deze fragmentarische artefacten bieden zij een alternatieve kijk op hun betekenis en relevantie in de 21e eeuw, voorbij de traditionele kunsthistorische interpretaties.
Degeyter en Vanoverberghe werken met zowel traditionele als nieuwe media, waardoor het proces van beeldvorming en onderzoek een belangrijke plaats inneemt. In deze tentoonstelling wordt recent werk getoond, waarbij inhoudelijke en visuele raakvlakken, maar ook spanningen tussen hun benaderingen naar voren komen.’’

About the exhibition (EN)
For our new exhibition at Pand00x, we are pleased to present Belgian artists Charles Degeyter (BE, 1994) and Sybren Vanoverberghe (BE, 1996). For the first time in their work is being shown together in Belgium.
Both artists approach themes such as archaeology, history, and anthropology in an intuitive and experiential manner. Their work prompts questions about authenticity and the origins of references like petroglyphs and artifacts. Through their exploration of these fragmentary artifacts, they offer an alternative perspective on their meaning and relevance in the 21st century, beyond traditional art historical interpretations.
Degeyter and Vanoverberghe utilize both traditional and contemporary media, with the processes of image-making and research taking a central role. This exhibition features recent works that highlight not only the thematic and visual connections but also the tensions between their approaches.

Over de locatie (NL)
De karaktervolle ruimte werd ingericht met oog voor design door interieurarchitect Elke Craeymeersch en biedt plaats tot 80 personen. Het industriële kader biedt tal van mogelijkheden voor de organisatie van jouw workshop, meeting, fotoshoot, seminarie, productvoorstelling en nog veel meer. Pand 00X is centraal gelegen in Kortrijk en gemakkelijk bereikbaar te voet vanuit het station. Er is ook voldoende parkeergelegenheid in de buurt.
About the location (EN)
The characterful space was furnished with an eye for design by interior architect Elke Craeymeersch and can accommodate up to 80 people. The industrial setting offers numerous possibilities for organizing your workshop, meeting, photo shoot, seminar, product presentation and much more. Pand 00X is centrally located in Kortrijk and easily accessible on foot from the station. There is also ample parking nearby.
