Emp­ty buil­dings at Jan Per­sijn­straat 1? Not any­mo­re. Wel­co­me to the Neigh­bor­hood has tur­ned it into a living, ever-chan­ging exhi­bi­ti­on, and it’s not stopping.

For this fifth edi­ti­on, 37 artists fill our walls with pain­tings, dra­wings, pho­to­grap­hy, sculp­tu­re, media art, cera­mics, col­la­ge, plushies, …

With this pro­ject, BLUT! sticks to its no-bud­get, com­mu­ni­ty-dri­ven appro­ach, whi­le showing the rea­li­ty of being an artist today.

About the location

BLUT! Art Gal­lery reclaims vacant buil­dings in Kort­rijk, star­ting in the often-over­loo­ked Jan Per­sijn­straat. We take acti­on against emp­ti­ness and exclu­si­on with a no-bud­get, DIY appro­ach to art and com­mu­ni­ty.

Through raw, low-thres­hold exhi­bi­ti­ons, we open spa­ce for artists, makers, and per­for­mers from all walks of life. Our plat­form grows orga­ni­cally in col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with local resi­dents, invi­ting par­ti­ci­pa­ti­on rather than per­fec­ti­on.

BLUT! offers an alter­na­ti­ve to the eli­tism of the tra­di­ti­o­nal art world. It’s not just a gal­lery, but a living, chan­ging spa­ce whe­re cre­a­ti­vi­ty con­nects peo­p­le and pla­ce.
